This is reminder that your company may be required to report your annual environmental emissions for calendar year 2009 and tracking emissions for new reporting regulations.
National Pollutant Release Inventory/O. Reg. 127 Reporting
These reports must by submitted by June 1st, 2010 to the federal government (Environment Canada) under the National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI), and the provincial government (Ministry of the Environment). ? Reports are mandatory for eligible companies as required by the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (1999, NPRI) and the Ontario Environmental Protection Act (Reg. 127/01), respectively.
Under the NPRI program, companies are required to report all pollutant emissions (air, water and waste) if they meet criteria. ? Companies reporting data must ensure due diligence? in calculating emissions and estimating reporting thresholds. ? All data will be displayed on the publically accessible NPRI website. ? It is important that facilities produce defensible data for reporting.
