With the U.S. EPA ISCST3, various forms of dust dispersal from a proposed aggregate pit were simulated. From the development of emission scenarios through emission inventory development, stakeholders were informed about the respiratory impacts likely from emissions from the proposed pit. Part of the work involved analysis of the grain sizes and silica content of the aggregate to assess potential bystander exposures.
