Air Monitoring Services
AirZOne provides a variety of air quality services with a base of experience spanning more than 30 years. We deal with regulatory requirements for air quality monitoring, but also have unique capabilities to deliver the following air quality services:

Ambient Air Quality Measurement
  • Operating urban, rural, or regional air quality monitoring networks for measurement of airborne toxic compounds (pesticides, herbicides, PCBs, PAH, metals).
  • Testing VOCs (hydrocarbons, oxygenates [aldehydes and ketones, alcohols] and ethers [MTBE and ETBE]) with active and passive methods.
  • Testing criteria pollutants with continuous and integrative methods (SO2, NOX, O3, airborne particles [TSP, PM10 and PM2.5]).
  • Monitoring fugitive emissions and assessing the downwind air quality impacts.
  • Measuring air/water and air/soil exchange processes.

    Indoor Air Quality Monitoring
  • Design and execution of statistically based IAQ surveys on national or local scales.
  • Undertaking diagnostic indoor air quality studies in residential and commercial environments.
  • Assessing personal exposures to compounds in indoor air with active and passive monitoring methods.
  • Assessing indoor environmental comfort parameters.
  • Assessing the potential causes of complaints related to indoor environments.

    Occupational Health and Hygiene Services
  • Evaluating worker exposure to airborne compounds in the workplace and recommendations for control of exposures.
  • Undertaking health and safety audits including compliance audits, management systems audits, implementation planning, and baseline assessments.
  • Training for a wide range of health and safety issues from SCBA to due diligence and management training.

Laboratory Services (Primarily for Air Samples)
Our laboratory is equipped with both analytical instrumentation and purpose-designed test atmospheres systems for generating complex mixtures of airborne vapors and particles. Our analytical services include:
  • Sampling and analysis method development with test atmosphere systems.
  • Analysis of air and gas samples with gas chromatography and mass spectrometry, electron capture, flame ionisation, flame photometric and thermal conductivity detectors, etc.
  • Analysis of airborne inorganic contaminants with ion chromatography, UV/Vis spectrophotometry.

    Fast Response Services
  • We offer rapid response, on-site analysis services with gas chromatography or other methods. This is of particular benefit in fugitive emissions studies, for example investigating VOC or RSC (volatile organic compound or speciated reduced sulfur compound) emissions and site remediation (PCBs, TPH, etc.) activities, especially in remote areas where long transport times for samples can cause excessive delays in project execution.
