A novel Lagrangian dispersal model was developed from first principles, including coding of algorithms, for the Ontario forestry industry. The model will ultimately be translated into user-friendly software for industry to assist in high quality tree seed production. The dispersal model was applied to a biogenic source of particles: tree pollen. Full-scale field tests validated the models performance. These required the release and measurement of tracer particles as well as the simultaneous measurement of meteorological parameters.
